Properties
Hexafluoropropene trimer is a colorless liquid. At 25°C, its density is 1.83 g/cm³, boiling point 110–115℃, flash point 75℃ (open cup) and 24℃ (closed cup), refractive index 1.273.
Hexafluoropropene trimer has three structural isomers: T-1, T-2 and T-3. T-1 exhibits low reactivity; T-2 reacts readily with nucleophiles; T-3 does not react with nucleophiles, but is capable of isomerization in the presence of triethylamine.
Hexafluoropropene trimer can be used for the preparation of polymers, polymer monomers, polymer additives, surfactants, solvents and so on.
It features good chemical inertness, excellent thermal conductivity, outstanding electrical insulation, extremely low surface tension and good compatibility with most materials. Therefore it is widely used in various temperature control and heat dissipation systems, especially suitable for single-phase immersion liquid cooling systems for data center servers.
